IGOR continues to support LEGACY WEEK

The beginning of September saw the Canberra IGOR office put to good use again for a second year, to coordinate the many volunteers including ADFA Cadets, eager to assist in raising funds for the families of veterans. Thanks to the generosity of visitors, businesses and residents of Manuka, Legacy Week was a great success.

IGOR has been invited to visit the Building Leadership Simulation Centre (BLSC) in Melbourne, Victoria this month.

The BLSC is a world leading capability in simulation for Australia. It represents a quantum leap for training in the building and construction industry in Australia. With state-of-the-art simulation technology, the BLSC is designed to assist the building industry deliver construction projects in a safer, quicker and more cost effective way.

The facility immerses construction teams in a virtual worksite to target
decision-making, problem-solving and leadership skills. Participants
confront the challenges faced on a real building site but without the
risks of delays, defects, cost blow outs or injuries.

IGOR’s experience in establishing valid and effective simulation training and our depth of knowledge in leadership development, translates to a fertile relationship between IGOR and this world leading centre.

IGOR supports ADF Joint Evaluation

IGOR has commenced work in support of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to generate a hub of expertise in the analysis of military operations and exercises. The first study assigned will support Ex TS 13.

IGOR will assist with the design and development of planning tools, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, indicators of progress and measures of effectiveness for Exercise Talisman Saber 2013 (TS 13). TS 13 is a bilateral Australian and United States of America exercises conducted in Australia to practice combined task force (CTF) operations in a mid intensity high-end war-fighting environment.

Two of the IGOR team have been assigned to kick this project off, both have a background in military exercises and operations and a deep understanding of the dynamics of complex systems analysis and evaluation. The men and women of the ADF and US armed forces can be confident evaluation and feedback from this exercise is going to be thorough.

IGOR seeks Global Strategic Partners

In 7 years IGOR’s team has established an Australian national Human Science capability and a virtual international presence. IGOR is one proud Australian company !

As IGOR enters 2013 we are keen to build on and strengthen this Australian capability by forming strong Strategic Partner relationships across the Globe; in North America, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, New Zealand and India.

IGOR INTERN PLACEMENTS – ACT

IGOR, working with the Australian National University (ANU), established the IGOR ACT Intern and Placement program in December 2012.

This program enables students from undergraduate through to post graduates in the Human Sciences to gain valuable work experience and contribute to the goals of IGOR, shaping the future for Human Science in Australia.
